Valerie Rosen is a self-taught published photographer who has recently completed 9 months of travel in Asia, including 5 months of photographic discovery throughout incredible India. It was a street photography journey for Valerie and her camera within 41 cities in 13 states, never tiring of challenging herself to capture the kind and friendly spirit of Indian people. She is no stranger to an international lifestyle, born in Montreal, Canada, having lived in the United States, Japan, South Korea, and Guatemala, and with travel experience of over 25 foreign countries within North America, Central America, South America, Asia, and a bit of Europe.
For Valerie, the marriage of travel and photography nourishes her soul; although, it is specifically the chance to witness and document the human experience from culture to culture that intrigues and inspires her. She specializes in environmental portraits and storytelling vignettes of daily life moments, and has a soft spot for deteriorated, textured surfaces, and connecting with people and their many facial lines, which never fail to tell great stories.
