I wanted to show how the skies here in #saskatchewan  are so amazing! This photo was shot about 35 mins after the couple of photos I posted earlier today were. I find it fascinating how the sky can change so dramatically here, in less than an hour! Now the sky is white without a single cloud!

This small trawler is slowly becoming part of the permanent landscape around Öresundsbron. I've seen it here for at least a year. Seems no one is claiming it, or getting to recovering it. Maybe I'l see it again in a few months. :))

Wild Boar in Snow - Much like the rest of the UK, we had a nice deep snowfall here in the Forest of Dean recently, and I was out enjoying it every day. It's a shame it thawed so quickly once the rain came. Moments after this shot, the nose went up in the air, the alarm was raised, and the boar was gone.

Okavango Delta Blues

Sundowners in the Forbidden Forest are hard to beat when visiting the Botswana's Okavango Delta.  Here's something even better.  How about a week is Nicaragua with  +Jay Patel  and +Varina Patel, two top-notch landscape photographers, leading a photography workshop for +The Giving Lens  (founded by +Colby Brown ).  My wife and I are very honored to be part of this adventure that starts this Saturday.  Best of all, we'll get a chance to support the childhood education efforts of +Empowerment International  who is the partner NGO working with the local community children.  Empowerment International does amazing things on a shoe-string budget so every dollar can help their efforts. How can you get involved?  Glad you asked.  Please consider a donation to Empowerment International. Even the smallest donation can make a difference in the live of these children.  http://empowermentinternational.org/

Also check out the The Giving Lens website for other photo workshop/community service opportunities.

Golden Light

This photo was taken a few minutes after the one I posted a few days ago (Standing in a warm light). I described my difficulties with taking the exposure right and it was obviously my fault :) This time, on the other hand, I blame the nature! What happened? Again, I was taking a long exposure that was supposed to last over 3 minutes. Waiting impatiently until it's finished, I was about to release the button on the remote, and... wave came and splashed directly into my ND filter in front of the lens. It was just a few seconds, out of a few minutes of exposure, but the shot was ruined, and I had to do it again. AGAIN. So this time I was even more frustrated than with the previous photo, more impatient and more nervous, that the light is disappearing, second after second. But finally this is the result of the second try. The "dry" one :) Surprisingly, landscape photography is a really stressful job!

What is Plus Extract?

It's your DAILY dose of TOP Google Plus photographs, which were chosen by an algorithm that combines automatic steps and manual curation. This means that the DAILY TOPs are NOT based solely on popularity, and users with a small number of followers have a chance to be featured in the TOP. We use Google+ API for the automatic steps; Jarek Klimek is responsible for curation and communication with the authors.

We strongly respect the authors and their rights. +Jarek Klimek contacts every photographer featured in all DAILY TOPs and if any author decides that he/she doesn't want to be featured in the TOP, we respect this absolutely.

Catherine Hall About us and Google+

Google+ has flourished into a bustling online community for photographers – and one reason is the exceptional contribution of early adopters such as Jarek Klimek, Editor of PhotoExtract magazine.

Jarek had the foresight to research the new social network and created an authoritative list of photographers to follow on Google+.

His viral list has not only become one of the top referring resources of photography trailblazers, it is also shared and watched by leaders such as Guy Kawasaki, Robert Scoble and Darren Rowse.

Jarek has helped introduce the work of great photographers to Google+ photography enthusiasts and I was very excited to share his insights with viewers on TWiT Photo.
