Dent Blanche Morning Rise: Be There!

As you might have noticed, I love colors in the mountains. Of course, they are most rich in sunrise and sunset (sure), so "be there" is the key. Luckily, this is rather easy as all big routes demand you to leave the mountain hut or bivouac in the night. So the most challenging thing is to stop climbing when the sun tips the rocky ridges. Good time for breakfast!

This image was made during the climb of Dent d'Herens with +Daniel Arndt, showing Dent Blanche (4'357m / 14 294ft), Weisshorn (4'505m / 14 780ft) as well as the huge glacier flank of Dent d'Herens in the foreground.

Hope you like it!

Hi Folks,

Today another photo taken on the Pacific coast. Morro Bay is located on the famous coastal road No. 1, slower than the 101 but so much better because it runs along the Pacific from San Luis Obispo to Carmel - Monterey.
I had not noticed that the rock resembles a head in profile ... I keep a wonderful memory of this place that looks like a nice little fishing port. It is also in this bay we heard the breath of a whale, unfortunately without seeing it.
A spot not to be missed if you're in the neighborhood!

Have a good day and thanks for your support here on G+

The One that Got Away
Spotted this as I was heading down the beach the other night. Normally, I hate seaweed in my compositions. However, in this case, I was willing to make an exception ;)

Hello,

yesterday I found a lot of eatable mushrooms and they were delicious combined with pasta and re wine. As all of them were unphotogenic I 've been very happy to find this little fly agaric standing between old spruces. Ideal for AFS 200/2 @ f/2.0 ....

We live in strange times Buckingham fountain, Millennium Park - Chicago, IL

After getting wet all day, we decided to get out again for some night photography in Millennium park in Chicago. I struggled to find a spot where the wind did not bring water drops from the fountain but I managed to make a nice 10 seconds exposure.

What is Plus Extract?

It's your DAILY dose of TOP Google Plus photographs, which were chosen by an algorithm that combines automatic steps and manual curation. This means that the DAILY TOPs are NOT based solely on popularity, and users with a small number of followers have a chance to be featured in the TOP. We use Google+ API for the automatic steps; Jarek Klimek is responsible for curation and communication with the authors.

We strongly respect the authors and their rights. +Jarek Klimek contacts every photographer featured in all DAILY TOPs and if any author decides that he/she doesn't want to be featured in the TOP, we respect this absolutely.

Catherine Hall About us and Google+

Google+ has flourished into a bustling online community for photographers – and one reason is the exceptional contribution of early adopters such as Jarek Klimek, Editor of PhotoExtract magazine.

Jarek had the foresight to research the new social network and created an authoritative list of photographers to follow on Google+.

His viral list has not only become one of the top referring resources of photography trailblazers, it is also shared and watched by leaders such as Guy Kawasaki, Robert Scoble and Darren Rowse.

Jarek has helped introduce the work of great photographers to Google+ photography enthusiasts and I was very excited to share his insights with viewers on TWiT Photo.
