Brunswick Street Gallery
Small Works Exhibition

Brunswick Street Gallery in Melbourne is hosting an Exhibit called Small Works for the next few weeks starting Sunday and with the Opening Night on the 13th of July 6pm-8pm (they'll have been on display for the whole week prior though as well)

And I have these 9 images in it!

First time I've ever had anything in a gallery. I'm nervous. There'll be a lot of other works there too of all forms of art.

If you happen to be in Melbourne feel free to check it out as it runs until the 25th.

'Scuse me while I go be nervous now.

Gallery Opening Hours: Tuesday - Sunday 10am - 10pm
The Gallery can be found here. Maps suggest it's on the left hand side of the street if you're coming from the CBD. It's actually on the right.

Got up super early this morning to make it to the beach in time to catch the pre-dawn light. Witnessed a beautiful sunrise this morning over the Chesapeake Bay.

Back from a great day of shooting on the Italian side of the range. Most images are embargoed, but enjoy a quick morning landscape from Aiguille Marbrées.

Surreal Sunrise

Or was this a sunset.   I think they are both the same this time of year at this latitude :)  Check out the rest of the album for some more quick shots from my trip to Iceland last week.  It was a good one.    A really huge thanks to +Brian Rueb & +Aperture Academy for this experience.  Yeah, I could have gone on my own, but there is no way that it would have been as fruitful and fun!!!  I learned a bunch and met some great people :)

Tech: yes - one exposure using my Singh-Ray reverse ND grad.

Petra

because the place is too narrow to get the shot right I decided to make a photo merge of 4 horizontal photos, and in 2 vertical layers, 8 shots together to be able to present it in it's full glory.
Because of the extreme heat it was done without tripod.

It's   #caturday  !

Here is a shot of my baby girl Merguez. I took this a few days ago during my first week on the +G+ Mentorship Program for Photographers _Art for Photographers_  course hosted by the inimitable +Robin Griggs Wood, a program I'd recommend to anyone looking to improve their photography. She certainly inspired me to take a little more time and care shooting my cats than I would have done previously and I am happy with the results.

What is Plus Extract?

It's your DAILY dose of TOP Google Plus photographs, which were chosen by an algorithm that combines automatic steps and manual curation. This means that the DAILY TOPs are NOT based solely on popularity, and users with a small number of followers have a chance to be featured in the TOP. We use Google+ API for the automatic steps; Jarek Klimek is responsible for curation and communication with the authors.

We strongly respect the authors and their rights. +Jarek Klimek contacts every photographer featured in all DAILY TOPs and if any author decides that he/she doesn't want to be featured in the TOP, we respect this absolutely.

Catherine Hall About us and Google+

Google+ has flourished into a bustling online community for photographers – and one reason is the exceptional contribution of early adopters such as Jarek Klimek, Editor of PhotoExtract magazine.

Jarek had the foresight to research the new social network and created an authoritative list of photographers to follow on Google+.

His viral list has not only become one of the top referring resources of photography trailblazers, it is also shared and watched by leaders such as Guy Kawasaki, Robert Scoble and Darren Rowse.

Jarek has helped introduce the work of great photographers to Google+ photography enthusiasts and I was very excited to share his insights with viewers on TWiT Photo.
