As I was ready to make a short clip in the Faroe Islands, I asked my friend +Adam Burton  to start recording by pressing the button but he accidentally pressed the shutter instead and took that shot..Kinda glad he did :) Interested in visiting the Faroes? visit http://www.visitfaroeislands.com/

Take your seat on the shore. Listen to the ancient voice in the waves. Taste the salt of life on your tongue. Run your fingers through the eternal sand. Breathe deeply. If you find yourself worrying about your cell phone and emails, if you find yourself feeling guilty that you should be doing “something important,” breathe deeply again. And again. Breathe deeply until every fabric of your being is reminded that this, being here, is your top priority. This is peace. This is wisdom. The work is a means to living, but this is the living. - Brian Vaszily

After a few hectic and enjoyable days on the Berlin photowalk my final day was a little more sedate, this is the House of World Cultures at the quieter end of the Tiergarten park from the Reichstag

I really liked this building and so different to everything else I'd seen in Berlin, it has a great curvaceousness and is reminiscent of the later works by Calatrava - this being built many years before in 1957

It really doesn't seem like a month has gone by already and I'm still slowly processing.  Theres a few more of this building to come I think - when I get round to it

Early in the morning with the driver thinking we're crazy for being up this early in this cold at this altitude. out in the distance are two twin volcanos that straddle the Bolivian/Chilean border to my left is the tallest mountain in Bolivia Sajama which we focused on for another sunrise and 2 other sunsets.

We had hoped the lake would be reflective like the day before but alas... too much wind.

Yes that's the moon up there at the top.

Here is my entry for the theme Pink in +Chrysta Rae's Photography Scavenger Hunt. This received a 2nd Place from +Sandra Parlow and was awarded an Honorable Mention by +Alan Shapiro, which makes me doubly-wriggly-thrilled because, do you know how much fun these two are to hug?!!!!

This is another image from the vault I discovered whilst editing another photo, it's similar to a previous shot I've uploaded, but I was pretty relaxed with this processing settling on some muted tones and contrast, keeping close to the original raw file look as possible. I love a painterly seascape and coming from a painting background, it suits me to a tea.

Colon Street

One of the busiest streets in Cebu.  Reminds me a lot of the busy intersection in Japan. Something to look forward to when I get the chance to go back to Cebu soon.

Today for #filmfriday  by +Richard Call, this is an image I took several years ago on Velvia 120 film using my Mamiya RZ 67 Pro II and 50 ULD lens.

I actually used to backpack with my Mamiya RZ setup and a Gitzo 1410 tripod, which had to add about 40lbs to my gear weight.

I'll be shooting in this area today and tomorrow and I'm excited about what new things I may find while exploring.

Have a wonderful Friday all!

What is Plus Extract?

It's your DAILY dose of TOP Google Plus photographs, which were chosen by an algorithm that combines automatic steps and manual curation. This means that the DAILY TOPs are NOT based solely on popularity, and users with a small number of followers have a chance to be featured in the TOP. We use Google+ API for the automatic steps; Jarek Klimek is responsible for curation and communication with the authors.

We strongly respect the authors and their rights. +Jarek Klimek contacts every photographer featured in all DAILY TOPs and if any author decides that he/she doesn't want to be featured in the TOP, we respect this absolutely.

Catherine Hall About us and Google+

Google+ has flourished into a bustling online community for photographers – and one reason is the exceptional contribution of early adopters such as Jarek Klimek, Editor of PhotoExtract magazine.

Jarek had the foresight to research the new social network and created an authoritative list of photographers to follow on Google+.

His viral list has not only become one of the top referring resources of photography trailblazers, it is also shared and watched by leaders such as Guy Kawasaki, Robert Scoble and Darren Rowse.

Jarek has helped introduce the work of great photographers to Google+ photography enthusiasts and I was very excited to share his insights with viewers on TWiT Photo.
