A brilliant sunrise at the classic Bonsai Rock at Lake Tahoe from a couple years ago. The Millenium Falcon broke down in Reno and this was a great place for an unplanned layover.

On another note, I'll be doing a free presentation on image developing techniques at the Grants Pass Camera Club Wednesday evening. If you would like to come you can get more details here: http://www.cavemancameraclub.com/club_events.

"Cutie Pie"
Photo Thoughts--- I photographed this Mourning Dove last night at St. Vrain State Park here in Colorado. Usually I wouldn't even give a Mourning Dove a second look but when the light presents a great opportunity you have to pounce so I did just that. I simply adored the way she was completely puffed up and how the background reflected the evenings golden hour color.....she made for such a wonderful subject.
I hope you all like it.

Although October is five months away, I am looking forward to leading a workshop here with fellow photographer +Joshua Cripps and +Sea to Summit Workshops .

This image is from the Owens River Valley with Mount Tom in the background. Winds along the ridges and a sixty second exposure helped to create the smooth mist in the sky.

another picture from the Thuringian forest. This time a long exposure. After the rain, there comes the fog from the forest. The exposure time was 25 seconds.

Photographing North America's National Parks
#albumtheme : National Parks, #landscapephotography , #nationalpark

Here is some Monday Morning Inspiration
This summer I will miss more deadlines at work and go explore the rain forest in Olympic. I will watch the sunrise over Yellowstone Falls and a storm break in Grand Tetons. I will cancel more lunch appointment with the clients. Instead take a boat ride in Yosemite, smell the flowers in Redwood Forest and wake up early to see the sun come over Bryce Canyon. This year, I will build less equity and NOT keep up with the Jones. I will go snorkeling in Dry Tortugas, I will watch the bubbles explore in Yellowstone, climb mountains in Glacier and watch the birds catch fish in Everglades.

I have arranged my album so that first 30 images showcases North America Magnificent National Parks.

Enjoy & Share.

What is Plus Extract?

It's your DAILY dose of TOP Google Plus photographs, which were chosen by an algorithm that combines automatic steps and manual curation. This means that the DAILY TOPs are NOT based solely on popularity, and users with a small number of followers have a chance to be featured in the TOP. We use Google+ API for the automatic steps; Jarek Klimek is responsible for curation and communication with the authors.

We strongly respect the authors and their rights. +Jarek Klimek contacts every photographer featured in all DAILY TOPs and if any author decides that he/she doesn't want to be featured in the TOP, we respect this absolutely.

Catherine Hall About us and Google+

Google+ has flourished into a bustling online community for photographers – and one reason is the exceptional contribution of early adopters such as Jarek Klimek, Editor of PhotoExtract magazine.

Jarek had the foresight to research the new social network and created an authoritative list of photographers to follow on Google+.

His viral list has not only become one of the top referring resources of photography trailblazers, it is also shared and watched by leaders such as Guy Kawasaki, Robert Scoble and Darren Rowse.

Jarek has helped introduce the work of great photographers to Google+ photography enthusiasts and I was very excited to share his insights with viewers on TWiT Photo.
