"It is almost impossible to watch a sunset and not dream." -Bern Williams

Was able to enjoy a beautiful sunset at Gray Whale Cove during my trip to San Francisco. Such a gorgeous way to close out the day!

I am also looking to pick up a new camera backpack and was curious about recommendations? I have been looking at the F-stop Guru and Thinktank's Streekwalker pro?

Some objects seem to disappear immediately while others never want to leave

I had to dig into my archives to remind me of what Winter looks like.

Happy Friday, everyone. I hope you all have a lovely weekend.

"Eruption Under the Stars"

Photographing Mt. Bromo erupting at night was an incredible experience. The trip up to the look-out point was fun in itself, but seeing this shot on the LCD after a one minute exposure at 2.8 when I all I could see was a blanket of darkness in reality was amazing!

Happy Friday All! Here is another take on Jackson Lake at Grand Teton National Park. The clouds just appearing on the left would later totally change the scene, I will be sure to share the resulting following shot sometime soon!

This is my favorite home away from home. It is a wonderful peaceful bivouac in the Sahara desert near M'hamid, Morocco. Where is your favorite home away from home?

#PlusPhotoExtract by +Jarek Klimek
Hi
A new upload, i take this photo last October when i walk with my wife & my son at Nice ( French Riviera ), i didn't have time to take some long exposure ;-)
so ... i shoot it with my Nikon D300 + Sigma 10/20 and i do a motion blur effect to Photoshop to do a "LE" effect to the sky & sea.
hope that you like it

We Travel On

Thought the journey is long
And the way unsure
We travel on
Through lands unknown
And people a strange
We travel on
Though wary of what lies beyond
The path we take we must
We travel on
The journey through life
Is the one we all must make
And it makes giants of the small
And legend of the mundane
Enjoy your journey
As if it was your last
For you cannot go back
And retrace your steps

Last image for the day as I seem to have done little more than upload pictures, this though is 150 in my landscape gallery, one day I may be able to travel a little further from my locale but I don't mind were I live, as long as I keep looking I can find places new to me.

What is Plus Extract?

It's your DAILY dose of TOP Google Plus photographs, which were chosen by an algorithm that combines automatic steps and manual curation. This means that the DAILY TOPs are NOT based solely on popularity, and users with a small number of followers have a chance to be featured in the TOP. We use Google+ API for the automatic steps; Jarek Klimek is responsible for curation and communication with the authors.

We strongly respect the authors and their rights. +Jarek Klimek contacts every photographer featured in all DAILY TOPs and if any author decides that he/she doesn't want to be featured in the TOP, we respect this absolutely.

Catherine Hall About us and Google+

Google+ has flourished into a bustling online community for photographers – and one reason is the exceptional contribution of early adopters such as Jarek Klimek, Editor of PhotoExtract magazine.

Jarek had the foresight to research the new social network and created an authoritative list of photographers to follow on Google+.

His viral list has not only become one of the top referring resources of photography trailblazers, it is also shared and watched by leaders such as Guy Kawasaki, Robert Scoble and Darren Rowse.

Jarek has helped introduce the work of great photographers to Google+ photography enthusiasts and I was very excited to share his insights with viewers on TWiT Photo.
