Springtime Switzerland

Just got back from the Eastern Sierras and got this awesome sunset at Mono Lake.
#PlusPhotoExtract +Jarek Klimek #SunsetSaturday a day early :)

I am going through a magazine submission at the moment, and it is making me revisit the amazing times I've had in the waters off of Isla Mujeres, Mexico, over the past few years. Sailfish and whale sharks! Love the place...

Colors and shapes
This came from my early still life photography attempts, 6-7 years ago. Were trying to break into stock photography that time:-)
Canon 10D 6 Mpx camera and some cheap macro lens.

You can guess what that green shape came from...

... Answer: it s a bottle. Some "decorative" bottle from Michale's store.

There's nothing like the feeling you get when you return back home from a trip abroad...

Photoshop CS5.

I have now been in California for a week and I although I never like to predict success before I see the images on my monitor I am excited about sharing some of the places I have seen. From Yosmite to the Big Sur Coast, it has been a fun trip! Sadly, I fly back tomorrow but I making the most of my time here now by drinking a cold beverage at a fine local establishment off of Hwy 1.

This is an image taken a couple of years ago just before spring in GSMNP. I am always a sucker for mist in the woods...

Just be...yourself!

This was a selfie and i had a smile on my face because my dog was harassing me, haha, she wanted also on the photo, so maybe for the next time! :-D

Happy weekend for all!!

The Bathing House

Today my new B+W 10 stop filter dropped through my door, so I had to go out and test it immediately! ...for all it was quite windy, the clouds weren't racing across the sky...
I'll have to do a lot more experimentation with these before I find settings I'm happy with, most shots I took clocked in at 1 minute using f/22. It was a bright and sunny day, presumably the duller the weather the better effects I can get?

I did notice from this test that my sensor is extremely dirty!

What is Plus Extract?

It's your DAILY dose of TOP Google Plus photographs, which were chosen by an algorithm that combines automatic steps and manual curation. This means that the DAILY TOPs are NOT based solely on popularity, and users with a small number of followers have a chance to be featured in the TOP. We use Google+ API for the automatic steps; Jarek Klimek is responsible for curation and communication with the authors.

We strongly respect the authors and their rights. +Jarek Klimek contacts every photographer featured in all DAILY TOPs and if any author decides that he/she doesn't want to be featured in the TOP, we respect this absolutely.

Catherine Hall About us and Google+

Google+ has flourished into a bustling online community for photographers – and one reason is the exceptional contribution of early adopters such as Jarek Klimek, Editor of PhotoExtract magazine.

Jarek had the foresight to research the new social network and created an authoritative list of photographers to follow on Google+.

His viral list has not only become one of the top referring resources of photography trailblazers, it is also shared and watched by leaders such as Guy Kawasaki, Robert Scoble and Darren Rowse.

Jarek has helped introduce the work of great photographers to Google+ photography enthusiasts and I was very excited to share his insights with viewers on TWiT Photo.
