This shoot was inspired by Canadian recording artist Marika. She wrote a fabulous song called "Soldier" and I loved the words so much that I asked the US Marines to help me create this imagery. They were so fabulous to work with.

Buy the song on iTunes! It is so inspirational and moving. It is also the theme song to our non-profit organization providing aide to orphans in Africa. You can hear it at www.heart4africa.org.

Have a great day friends!

How many images do you think an album should have, 10-20 ?
Whats your opinion ?

And as always hope you enjoy and feel free to share :)

Have a great weekend

When I don't do wildlife I fiddle with studio work. It's kind of fun to learn new things and I find it challenging to photograph glassware. The boring white background is for stock photography reasons. The ice cubes were made from candle gel.

Delicious autumn! My very soul is wedded to it, and if I were a bird I would fly about the earth seeking the successive autumns.

Norway – Clouds from Nes First day at the Lofoten: I arrived to Lødingen with the ferry from Leiknes. It was a windy evening and, after getting a room in an hotel, I moved to Nes (some kilometers to the west) looking for some shoots at the sunset. The sky was plenty of clouds of different colors from yellow to pink, from blue to violet and it were amazing. I took this very simple shoot and I hope to be able to share with you the feeling that I felt watching that amazing scenery. The lands that are visible are part of the continental coast of the Norway.

What is Plus Extract?

It's your DAILY dose of TOP Google Plus photographs, which were chosen by an algorithm that combines automatic steps and manual curation. This means that the DAILY TOPs are NOT based solely on popularity, and users with a small number of followers have a chance to be featured in the TOP. We use Google+ API for the automatic steps; Jarek Klimek is responsible for curation and communication with the authors.

We strongly respect the authors and their rights. +Jarek Klimek contacts every photographer featured in all DAILY TOPs and if any author decides that he/she doesn't want to be featured in the TOP, we respect this absolutely.

Catherine Hall About us and Google+

Google+ has flourished into a bustling online community for photographers – and one reason is the exceptional contribution of early adopters such as Jarek Klimek, Editor of PhotoExtract magazine.

Jarek had the foresight to research the new social network and created an authoritative list of photographers to follow on Google+.

His viral list has not only become one of the top referring resources of photography trailblazers, it is also shared and watched by leaders such as Guy Kawasaki, Robert Scoble and Darren Rowse.

Jarek has helped introduce the work of great photographers to Google+ photography enthusiasts and I was very excited to share his insights with viewers on TWiT Photo.
