I thought about it, and this fits just fine in my "Portals and Passages" album. A wicked late fall shot with a wicca theme, because we all have a bit of love for the Goddess :)

She Envisioned Rebirth

She approached winter's sleep as she did all her moments before...
Rejoicing, expressing, embracing, celebrating.
Envisioning rebirth always made her smile with unusual radiance.

Here is a photo from about a year ago just a short distance from my home here in Seward, Alaska. A big storm is in the forecast - I'm hoping for a ton of new snow!

A Siberian Tiger on the prowl for some fresh lunch. There's something about tiger orange which I find hard to capture on the screen the way I remember it being when I took the photo. This raw file spent a long time in lightroom as a black and white until I rediscovered the colour at the last minute. They're beautiful animals. This one was walking with two others between silver birch trees.

Dubai Marina is a district in the heart of what has become known as "new Dubai" in Dubai. Dubai Marina is a canal city, carved along a two mile (3 km) stretch of Persian Gulf shoreline. When the entire development is complete, it will accommodate more than 120,000 people in residential towers and villas

I got this one last summer while on my first trip to Mt Jefferson. Definitely not the funnest hike when loaded down with camera gear, but boy was it worth it!

Captured this image in Hawaii last spring. I was immediately drawn to the incredible contrast between the tiny growing grass and the wet lava beds. This was the only shot from this location I had time to capture before the weather got really bad and had to run for cover. This goes to show that whatever happens...Nature will prevail :)

What is Plus Extract?

It's your DAILY dose of TOP Google Plus photographs, which were chosen by an algorithm that combines automatic steps and manual curation. This means that the DAILY TOPs are NOT based solely on popularity, and users with a small number of followers have a chance to be featured in the TOP. We use Google+ API for the automatic steps; Jarek Klimek is responsible for curation and communication with the authors.

We strongly respect the authors and their rights. +Jarek Klimek contacts every photographer featured in all DAILY TOPs and if any author decides that he/she doesn't want to be featured in the TOP, we respect this absolutely.

Catherine Hall About us and Google+

Google+ has flourished into a bustling online community for photographers – and one reason is the exceptional contribution of early adopters such as Jarek Klimek, Editor of PhotoExtract magazine.

Jarek had the foresight to research the new social network and created an authoritative list of photographers to follow on Google+.

His viral list has not only become one of the top referring resources of photography trailblazers, it is also shared and watched by leaders such as Guy Kawasaki, Robert Scoble and Darren Rowse.

Jarek has helped introduce the work of great photographers to Google+ photography enthusiasts and I was very excited to share his insights with viewers on TWiT Photo.
