Just returned from Iceland with a few new images, and several stories too. This is the first image out... Skógafoss - Southern Iceland. This is one of the most popular waterfalls in Iceland due to it's location and accessibility. It's also one of the most photographed. Since I couldn't find a better view of it on Google images, I felt it was good enough to add. Enjoy!

Theater of Disguise

This week has presented many changes here in Northern California. The temperature has significantly dropped, the winds have completely changed directions, storms are brewing in the distance, the first dusting of snow, and my favorite part, the clouds are back. Actually, it's kind of bittersweet because I have to say goodbye to the stars and Milky Way for a while, but I'm looking forward to what lies ahead. This was taken this morning from a meadow I visit regularly that's fairly close to my house.

Hope you enjoy!

Have a great weekend!

Saw this at a friend's house....
"How to live on an Island:
Go with the wind, walk tender, respect, leave no wake, tune up your senses, build castles and leave them for the moon to find, discover treasure, remember yourself, keep off the reef, ebb and flow, wait for sunsets, listen in on shells, put living things back, cultivate quiet, practice simplicity, sugar yourself with sand, float on crystal clear water, and treasure the moments that take your breath away...continue...”

What is Plus Extract?

It's your DAILY dose of TOP Google Plus photographs, which were chosen by an algorithm that combines automatic steps and manual curation. This means that the DAILY TOPs are NOT based solely on popularity, and users with a small number of followers have a chance to be featured in the TOP. We use Google+ API for the automatic steps; Jarek Klimek is responsible for curation and communication with the authors.

We strongly respect the authors and their rights. +Jarek Klimek contacts every photographer featured in all DAILY TOPs and if any author decides that he/she doesn't want to be featured in the TOP, we respect this absolutely.

Catherine Hall About us and Google+

Google+ has flourished into a bustling online community for photographers – and one reason is the exceptional contribution of early adopters such as Jarek Klimek, Editor of PhotoExtract magazine.

Jarek had the foresight to research the new social network and created an authoritative list of photographers to follow on Google+.

His viral list has not only become one of the top referring resources of photography trailblazers, it is also shared and watched by leaders such as Guy Kawasaki, Robert Scoble and Darren Rowse.

Jarek has helped introduce the work of great photographers to Google+ photography enthusiasts and I was very excited to share his insights with viewers on TWiT Photo.
