Flickr has its own way of finding and presenting the TOP shots daily. The same is true for 500px, for Smugmug and for many other websites, which are popular among photography fans.
So we tried to make the Google+ photography paradise even better.
It's your DAILY dose of TOP Google Plus photographs, which were chosen by an algorithm that combines automatic steps and manual curation.
This means that the DAILY TOPs are NOT based solely on popularity, and users with a small number of followers have a chance to be featured in the TOP.
We use Google+ API for the automatic steps; Jarek Klimek is responsible for curation and communication with the authors.
We strongly respect the authors and their rights. Jarek Klimek contacts every photographer featured in all DAILY TOPs and if any author decides that he/she doesn't want to be featured in the TOP, we respect this absolutely.
The Plus Extract daily tops are independent from other PhotoExtract functions.
There is no connection between the photographs presented in the Plus Extract project (those photos are embeded from G+) and photographs that were uploaded to our regular photography gallery or presented in our photography magazine.

Only photographers invited by our editor may submit photographs here.
Those chosen photographers can't publish more than one photograph a day, so they publish photographs they consider as their best ones.
Our editor chooses the best of those great photographs for the posts in our online photography magazine.

Use 1150 pixel-wide shots. Those have a chance of being featured in our photography magazine.
The new photograph chosen from the shots uploaded to our photography gallery is featured on our homepage every day.
The featured photographs are chosen by our editor.
Every member of our community can recommend the shots he/she likes. The number of nominations for a particular photograph is one of the most important criteria for our editor. Learn more »

The photographs in these TOPs are chosen from the shots published on Google+.

Whoo Hoo - I am psyched! PhotoExtract.com included me in their 27 Top G+ Photos for Oct 5. I've been checking out their picks ever since +Guy Kawasaki mentioned them, and the images they pick are always amazing.
