A Secret Place

Have you ever been someplace that is beyond real..someplace you hold like a treasure in your heart.. So when times get bad you just go there?

Deep within the wilderness of West Virginia there are secret places such as this. Where the mountain streams fall from canyon cliff sides creating an almost tropical scene. Only a handful of people know this place and I am fortunate to be among them.

This is a self-portrait that I felt compelled to take while at this location during the Spring. I hope to never forget the lush beauty that is hidden deep within the mountains.
