Not only is this a beautiful photograph, it is symbolic of strength and perseverance through adversity. Also, it was taken with a shutter speed that allows movement and life to show through, in the face and the feathers, unlike photographs taken with such a high shutter speed that their subjects seem paralyzed in the moment, such as the first photo in this series. Also, just the right touch of orange in the beak and claws, and the brown feathers symbolize life, the white snow and grey trees represent the hardship of winter. The composition is exquisite. Profoundly beautiful.
